精密電阻按材料分，有金屬膜精密電阻、線繞精密電阻和金屬箔精密電阻幾類。金屬膜精密電阻的精度較高，但阻值溫度系數(shù)和分布參數(shù)指標(biāo)略低；線繞精密電阻的阻值精度和溫度系數(shù)指標(biāo)很高，但分布參數(shù)指標(biāo)偏低；金屬箔精密電阻的精度、阻值溫度系數(shù)和分布參數(shù)各項指標(biāo)都很高：精度可達10-6，溫度系數(shù)可達±0.3×10-6/℃，分布電容可低于0.5pF，分布電感可低于0.1μH。由于上述三類精密電阻器的價格隨性能而提高，所以在應(yīng)用中應(yīng)根據(jù)實際情況合理選用。例如，在直流或頻率很低的交流電路中，一般只需選用線繞精密電阻或金屬膜精密電阻即可，沒有必要選用價格高昂的金屬箔精密電阻。
