The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has actively carried out pilot projects on the recovery and utilization of new energy automotive power accumulator batteries, and promoted enterprises in automotive manufacturing, battery production and comprehensive utilization to carry out cascade utilization tests in the areas of power reserve and energy storage, and explore new business models.
The State Grid has built a demonstration of 100 kWh cascade lithium manganate battery energy storage system in Daxing, Beijing, and a demonstration of 1 MWh cascade lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage system in Zhangbei, effectively verifying the feasibility of cascade utilization in energy storage field. At the same time, a technical platform for sorting and evaluating decommissioned batteries has been set up, technical specifications for battery allocation have been formulated, and an efficient and reliable battery management system has been developed.
Beijing Craftsmanship has developed a step-by-step optical energy storage system, and is building a power battery pack (group) evaluation system based on large data. Beijing Prade has cooperated with Beiqi to implement energy storage power station project and container energy storage project, with a cumulative cascade utilization of about 75MWh.
China Iron Tower Corporation has developed the application of battery standby by step in about 120,000 base stations in 31 provinces and municipalities in China. The use of battery by step is about 1.5 GWh. At present, the operation is in good condition, which fully verifies the safety and technical and economic feasibility of the use of batteries by step. At the same time, the leading industry of China Iron Tower Company has broken through a number of key technologies such as battery grouping and capacity comprehensive evaluation.
Shenzhen BYD (002594), Guoxuan Gaoke (002074) and other enterprises use decommissioned power batteries to produce batteries used in the field of standby. Wuxi Greenmei (002340) and Shunfeng explored the use of batteries in urban logistics vehicles. Zhongtian Hongli and others promoted the use of batteries in environmental sanitation, sightseeing and other vehicles through the "rent for sale" model.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has completed the application filing of 34 power storage battery codes for cascade utilizing enterprises, thus realizing the supervision of traceability information for cascade utilizing enterprises. The National Automobile Standardization Technical Committee has organized the development of relevant standards for power storage battery cascade utilization, and national standards such as residual energy testing have been issued and implemented. China Tower Corporation is taking the lead in developing industry standards for cascade utilization in the field of telecommunications.
The step-by-step utilization of new energy automotive power storage battery is at the initial stage, with great potential for development and broad market prospects. The existing problems are that the bottlenecks of key technologies such as battery residual life and consistency assessment need to be broken through, and the management mechanism and business model need to be further explored and improved.
