Application for Certificate of Origin by the China Customs Council for the Promotion of International Trade
A certificate of origin is a document issued by a specific organization of the exporting country to prove that the exported goods are of origin in that country (or region). The Certificate of Origin of Exported Goods of the People's Republic of China is a document that proves that the origin of the exported goods is the People's Republic of China. The Customs and the Council for the Promotion of International Trade and its local trade promotion agencies are responsible for issuing certificates of origin.
Materials required for applying for a certificate of origin:
(1) Application for issuance of certificate of origin;
(2) Commercial invoice for export goods;
(3) The information such as the recipient and sender, and the description of the goods contained in the certificate of origin;
(4) The origin standards applicable to exported goods;
(5) The proportion of non originating raw materials and components used during production and processing, as well as processing procedures.
When applying for the certificate of origin for the first time, the applicant should also provide basic information about the enterprise, such as the name and address of the enterprise, the unified social credit code, the legal representative (person in charge), contact person, and contact information. When there is a change in the basic information of the enterprise, the updated information should be provided in a timely manner.

Manually input the shipper, consignee, product name, quantity, amount, Chinese name of the manufacturer, organization code, amount, commercial invoice number, and date of the certificate of origin into the declaration system. The information of both import and export parties, transportation details, product descriptions, and the standards of origin used should be declared according to the filling specifications of different certificates of origin.

Certificate collection method:
1. For certificates of origin that have not yet been opened for self-service printing, enterprises must use a needle printer to print the certificate of origin on the blank certificate applied for, stamp it with the enterprise's Chinese and English seals, and have authorized personnel sign it before going to the visa customs site to handle the certificate issuance procedures.
2. For enterprises that have enabled self-service printing and allow self-service printing of certificates, self-service printing is sufficient.
